CONFIRMED: Mia Wasikowska a no go for Catching Fire

Last week the Playlist reported that Mia Wasikowska was in the running to take on the role of Johanna Mason in Catching Fire.

Seems they spoke a bit too soon as now  Entertainment Weekly has been able to confirm that Mia will NOT be taking on the role of Johanna – the tribute from District 7.

Contrary to a report last week, Mia Wasikowska is not vying for the role of headstrong tribute Johanna Mason in The Hunger Games: Catching Fire. According to the Alice in Wonderland star’s reps, Wasikowska has neither been approached for the role, nor would be able to play it given other film commitments she has for 2012.

Playlist had also speculated that  Zoe Aggeliki was also being considered.  No word from anyone on that rumor, and Lionsgate, as usual remains hush hush.
