Jena Malone | Catching Fire Offer
Word is that Jena Malone has been offered the role of Johanna Mason in Catching Fire.
The Hollywood Reporter says the “Sucker Punch” actress is in talks with the film’s producer to sign up with The Hunger Games sequel.
Malone has the offer and is in early negotiations for the part, according to sources. The move nixes premature reports that pegged newbie actress-modelZoe Aggeliki as the front-runner to play the ax-wielding former Hunger Games winner from District 7, who aligns with Katniss Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence) and Peeta Mellark (Josh Hutcherson) in their return to the arena for an all-star death match.
The role requires a mix of wit and physicality. Although Mason enjoys some of the best one-liners in the Suzanne Collins novel, her first appearance finds her stripping out of her tribute costume in an effort to make Katniss uncomfortable.
So what do you think? I can totally see her as Johanna and think that if we hear that Philip Seymour Hoffman is also in, that the cast for Catching Fire is shaping up to be very strong and very interesting. Now if they’d just tell us who will play Finnick!

I think that zoe aggeliki is better suited for the rol,
Johanna mason is supposed to be extremely beautifull and i’m really sorry but i don’t think jena mallone fits the part..

I think Jenna would be perfect for the role.
I think she might be okay for the part but no really good for the part. She is pretty but I did imagine the actress who is playing Johanna to be more pretty.

She’s a fantastic actress. Watch some of her movies. Yeah, the google pictures aren’t great, but sometimes seeing them in person or on film truly captures a person’s presence. I’ve met her and she is stunning. And most films do a very good job in capturing her beauty.
Watch Donnie Darko – She definitely has the ‘dark, tough’ spark needed for Johanna.
And for Johanna’s dark yet appealing, sexy femme fatale look and personality… Watch the first few minutes of ‘The Messengers’. She is not only gorgeous, but she has a beautiful body. Hopefully, you can see most of it in the movie. Although I’m not holding out for a full frontal shot if they want a PG or PG 13 rating. Although you might see her from the waist up, but definitely not below.
I actually imagined Johanna like Jenna. Hope she’ll accept the offer!!!!
