Mainstay next project – Finnick and Annie
The folk at Mainstay Productions are huge Hunger Games fans and have now made two short films inspired by the trilogy. The first one was the scene where Rue dies, while the second one sees Haymitch take part in the Quarter Quell. Their next project is set to be around the story of Finnick Odair and Annie Cresta.
Here’s what they posted on their Facebook Page
Many Hunger Games fans have suggested that we do something with the character Finnick. I pitched an idea to downwiththecapitol.net about doing something with Finnick and Annie, when they were younger and how their relationship grew. One of their staff members, Shylah Addante, wrote 7 short stories that we are going to film this fall about Finnick and Annie. We hope all you fellow Hunger Games fans will enjoy!
As a bit of a reminder – we first hear of Annie in Catching Fire. We find out that this is the woman that Finnick loves. Annie was the female tribute from District 4 in the 70th Hunger Games. During the Games she saw her fellow District 4 male tribute beheaded, which drove her to virtual insanity. She won the Games by hiding until an earthquake broke a damn and flooded the Arena. Because she was the best swimmer she survived. Annie was chosen for a second time to take part in the 75th Hunger Games, but Mags, an older tribute, volunteered to take her place.
