More reports that Sam Claflin will be Finnick in The Hunger Games: Catching Fire
Until Lionsgate comes out and gives us the official word, it seems the casting rumors for The Hunger Games: Catching Fire will continue to run rampant. However, today there’s been some further confirmation from a pretty reliable source that Sam Claflin has indeed scored the role of Finnick Odair.
Gossip Cop is all about busting rumors and fake news. They are reporting that it has confirmation that the Snow White & the Huntsman WILL be cast as Finnick Odair in Catching Fire.
Sam Claflin will play Finnick Odair in Catching Fire, a source confirms exclusively to Gossip Cop.
The actor recently emerged as the frontrunner for the role in The Hunger Games sequel, and Gossip Cop has learned Lionsgate will make it official in an announcement in the near future.
The rumor first emerged earlier in the week, with both Variety and Zap2It claiming that they had heard that Claflin was not just on the short list, but was going to be offered the role.
There’s still no official word from Lionsgate, but it seems all we are waiting for is confirmation.
Right now, the only official confirmations for Catching Fire are Amanda Plummer as Wiress and Philip Seymour Hoffman as Plutarch Heavensbee.

Sorry, no offense to anyone but I think he is perfect as Finnick Odair! He has a beautiful face and a great body(and would look awesome in his underwear). As soon as I saw him in Pirates of the Caribbean 4 I immediately thought “This guy is Finnick!” He carried a mermaid so I think he can carry Peeta and Mags. And he has the potential to act seductive and tough(Catching Fire) and then start to break down(Mockingjay). Plus he’s only 27! Finnick is 24. Sam Claflin all the way!
I forgot to add that he is an amazing and talented actor!!!!
