Glee actress Naya Rivera would love to play Johanna in Catching Fire
Earlier this year, Glee actress Naya Rivera let it be known that she’s a huge fan of The Hunger Games and that she’d love to play Johanna in Catching Fire. Entertainment Weekly recently put her forward as someone who was a potential fit for the part.
It seems that many of her fans like the idea too and have let Naya know that they’re right behind her.
In a new interview with Radar Online, she talks the support she’s received and how she’s long been a fan of The Hunger Games:
Q: Did you enjoy The Hunger Games?
I started reading the books before I even knew they were making it into a movie. I’m just a huge fan. I would love to play Johanna Mason. She’s the axe-wielding ex-tribute and former winner. She’s a grade-A badass!Q: Are you surprised by the outpouring from fans?
It’s so exciting. I get tweets every day, and it feels good that they get behind something I’m passionate about.

I think that with Grant what’s his name from Glee looking to play finnick, I kind of don’t want Catching Fire to be a Glee reunion….while shed make a great Joanna…..and I can see him as Finnick, pick one Glee cast member :/
She would be AMAZING!!! She can pull off all emotions and expressions really well and she is the only one that I can picture playing Johanna, while I was reading the books I ALWAYS pictured her as Johanna and if she doesn’t play her, myself along with 138 other may not be watching Catching Fire.
