Finnick Odair - Catching Fire - Capitol Couture

Finnick Odair’s style has been featured on Capitol Coutre  - which includes a new still from Catching Fire.

It’s all about his fisherman knit sweater which according to the Capitol Couture is typically passed down through generations and date back to the islands off the west coast of Ireland.

“Finnick Odair’s own Aran cardigan—comprised of over 100,000 artful stitches—is a sartorial relic from his father, who fished District 4 back when sea bass and cod were bountiful. Rumor has it the debonair Victor sees his sweater as a talisman representative of his family’s Celtic strength and pride.”

The next Victory-inspired look is apparently coming straight from the textile industry of District 8.

  1. When Katniss gets close to the edge of the arena, Seneca Crane, the Gamemaker, orders a forest fire ignited to drive her back. She escapes, but suffers a severe burn on her leg. While cleaning it at the river, she is spotted by the Careers, who go after her. They corner Katniss up a tree; unable to follow or shoot her down, they decide to starve her out. Haymitch convinces a sponsor to send medicine for her burns. The next morning Rue (District 11, female), hiding in a nearby tree, draws Katniss’s attention to a deadly tracker jacker nest. Katniss drops the nest onto the alliance. They scatter, but Glimmer (District 1, female) is stung to death. Katniss, disoriented by her own stings, takes a bow and arrows from Glimmer’s body and is told to run away by Peeta. She eventually collapses. She wakes up to find that Rue has tended to her stings for days; the pair quickly become friends and allies. They decide to use the calls of mockingjays in the arena as a signal.
