Trevor Donovan says he’s out of the running for Finnick Odair
Trevor Donovan has long hoped to be part of The Hunger Games. He’s a huge fan, and had said that Finnick Odair in Catching Fire was his dream role. But it seems that dream is over for Trevor. He went on to his Facebook and Twitter to explain that the Finnick journey was over:
It’s been a fun ride, but the Finnick Odair journey is over for me, the honor of playing him will go to another, well deserved individual, I’m sure… I’m still, and will always be a true blue Hunger Games FAN, that will never change… xo
While it’s bad news for Trevor (and we really wish him all the best with future gigs), I guess it means that producers are one step closer to making a decision on just who will play Finnick in Catching Fire. The rumors have been centered around Hunter Parris, Garret Hedlund and Armie Hammer. Hopefully we’ll get official word real soon.
