Who Should Play Finnick Odair in Catching Fire
It was a favorite game among fans for The Hunger Games Movie – who should be cast in the film adaptation of the book? A HUGE number of fans have made suggestions over at My Hunger Games about wh o they thikn should play Finnick Odair, despite the fact that we don’t meet Finnick until Catching Fire. So it’s no surprise that with the announcement that Catching Fire will be made and even has a release date for November 2013, that attention has turned to just who will be in The Hunger Games sequel.
Hollywood Crush has today put forward their choices for Finnick.

What we know about Finnick Odair
Finnick Odair is the male tribute from District 4 who won the 65th Hunger Games at the age of 14. During those Games he was sent a trident, which might have been one of the most expensive gifts ever given in the Games. He excelled at using the trident as a weapon and with his skill for making nets, he would trap his opponents and then kill them.
He was also a mentor for the District 4 tributes during the 74th Hunger Games and took part in the 3rd Quarter Quell during which he was part of an alliance with Peeta, Katniss, Wiress, Beetee, Johanna Mason and his previous mentor, Mags.
He’s described as being tall, muscular and athletic, with golden skin, bronze-colored hair, and seafoam green eyes. Katniss puts his success down to a combination of his physical skill and unprecedented popularity among the Capitol.
His one and only true love is Annie Cresta, the 70th Hunger Games victor who went insane when her partner tribute got beheaded in the Games.

Benjamin Stone all the way. He is the Nine Lives of Chloe King, which is on Tuesdays on ABC Family at 9pm. He knows how to play a cocky guy and he can do an American accent. Give the role to an unknown. Everyone else suggested is too identified with another franchise or tv series. This guy has the acting chops. Come on no one liked it when Tobey Maguire was cast as Spiderman, but look at how that turned out?

Well, i’m not going by how good looking they are…but I imagined someone like alex when I read the books. The other two look a little more innocent and little kiddish…and even though Finick’s supposed to be young, he’s not supposed to look like a child in my opinion. But who knows who they’ll pick. thanks

honestly, they all are good looking, but that doesnt mean anything. when i saw the movie jennifer lawerence was who i pictured as katniss. and there is no disagreeing that josh hutcherson was the best peeta ever!!!! i mean, people, come on! they were thinking about zack efron for freaking finnick! sure, he’s got the looks, but he’s much to young. in my opinion, alex pettyfer would be the best finnick for catching fire. he looks like finnick!
I think Alex should play Finnick bcuz…..he is handsome, he has a good body, he is tan like Finnick, and his hair color matches Finnick’s. So PLZ pick Alex Pettyfer to play Finnick Odair in Catching Fire.

Alex Pettyfer, I honestly cannot imagine anyone else playing the role. He would definitely make the perfect role for Finnick!

When I read the book I instantly imagined Grant gustin as Finnick. I think he would be perfect. He totally has the talent to play him and the looks also.

If they cast Alex Pettyfer as Finnick, I will scream, throw something at whatever screen I see the preview for it on, and jump into a lake crying.
To be honest, whenever I was reading the books, I immediately thought of Nick Roux as Finnick Odair. He is extremely good looking,and even though his hair is kid of a light brown, it’s just a matter of dying it right? I absolutely think that Nick Roux deserves to play Finnick Odair.If not Nick ROux, I suggest Jeremy Sumpter… But I still highly recommend Nick Roux.
I believe the role of Finnick Odair should be played by Brenton Thwaites. He is strikingly handsome, golden skin, and bronze colored hair. His eyes may not be sea foam green, but then again Peeta’s eyes are not blue. He is in Austrailian actor, but I have seen him play in American films as well. So, accent would not be a problem. I think he would be absolutely perfect. He’s young, fit, and charming. Can’t get much better than that!
I think Bradley James or James Gaisford should play Finnik.
